The 2025 International Maestro Piano Festival will take place at the National Sun Yat-Sen University from January 16 to 26, 2025. This remarkable event boasts lessons and lectures by world-renowned artists, accompanied by a multitude of concerts. The grand finale is the Star Concert Pianist Competition on the campus. Moreover, these activities extend beyond the NSYSU campus to the Kaohsiung City Dadong Art Center, where the "All-Star Faculty Concert" takes place. National Sun Yat-sen University, located in the vibrant city of Kaohsiung, is nestled near the famous SiZihWan Bay with its pristine beaches. A quick 30-minute MRT ride takes you to Dadong Art Center, making it an ideal hub for emerging artists to flourish and immerse themselves in the world of concerts, opera, and the performing arts. Throughout the festival, more than 24 grand piano practice rooms are reserved for all participants. This festival welcomes musicians from around the world, regardless of age, and offers online applications. Whether you're a member of the public, a music enthusiast, or a professional musician, all are invited to participate as audience members, volunteers, or sponsors. During the festival, there will be more than 300 hours of lessons with world-renowned artists teaching all of the active participants.
Promising Star Concert & Competition
In the final days of the festival, there is the Promising-Star Concert Pianist Competition. The 28 competitors will be selected from the application clip. They will be performing on the stage before the end of the festival. Their performance is at the same time as the competition. The winner of the 2024 edition will be rewarded with a concerto performance opportunity with Kaohsiung Youth Symphony Orchestra in the 2025/2026 season.
