The 2020 International Maestro Piano Festival will take place at the National Taiwan Normal University from February 4-18, 2019. There will be lessons and lectures taught by some of the world’s top artists, with numerous concerts during the festival, with the Star Concert Pianist Competition at the end. All of the activities will not only take place at the beautiful campus of the NTNU but also at the National Concert Hall where the "All-Star Faculty Concert" will take place.

The National Taiwan Normal University is located at the City Centre of Taipei, next to the colorful Shi-Da night market, and the elegant urbane Da’an district. You can also walk within 20 minutes from the NTNU to the National Performing Arts Centre: National Concert / Recital Hall. It's the best location for young artists to thrive and appreciate concerts, opera and the performing arts. There will also be more than 24 grand piano practice rooms reserved for all the participants during the entire festival.

The festival is opened worldwide for all the musicians to apply now online, no age limit. Whether you are a member of the general public, a music lover, or a musician, everyone is welcome to join us as audience members, as volunteers, or as sponsors. Let the art and music be a part of you, enrich your life and give warmth to your soul!

During the festival, there will be more than 100 hours of lessons with world-renowned artists teaching all of the active participants.

Star Concert Pianist Competition


The participants of the festival don't just experience wonderful lessons and lectures, they also get to perform and get a chance to appear on an international performing stage! 
​
In the final days of the festival, there is the Promising-Star Concert Pianist Competition. The 32 competitors will be chosen from all the participants. They will be performing on the stage before the end of the festival. Their performance is at the same time as the competition. The winner of the 2020 edition will be rewarded with a concerto performance opportunity with Taiwan most prestige Symphony Orchestra in the 2021/2022 season.

In addition to practicing and learning, hearing the concert is also an indispensable part for music learners. Therefore, we not only have four Promising-Star concerts, but are also hosting a gathering of world-renowned pianists to bring you a listening feast of pianists that is singing with life.
