Chinese pianist Junhui Chen has already appeared as a soloist with orchestras across the world. He has performed in music festivals such as the Perugia Music Festival, Orford Music Academy, Fontainebleau School, and Shanghai Piano Festival. A winner of numerous International Competitions, Junhui was a recipient of the Deuxième Prix in the 2019 Ravel Music Competition in France. In 2017, he was awarded Second Prize in the third Marbella International Music Competition in Spain. He was a Bach Special Prize winner in the inaugural Olga Kern International Piano Competition in 2016. He captured the second prize and the Best master class performance prize and 4 years of full scholarship given by Eastman School of Music in the Eastman Young Artist International Piano Competition in 2012. In 2011, he awarded the second prize in the Louisiana International Piano Competition (Adult group) as the youngest participant. Junhui Chen holds a bachelor degree and an improvisation certificate from The Curtis Institute of Music under the guidance of Robert McDonald and Gary Graffman. He is also a pupil of Dang Thai Son. Junhui Chen currently studies at Juilliard School with Jerome Lowenthal.
