Classical pianist Zixiang Wang has performed in numerous concert halls all over the world and has been praised for his direct and passionate expressions in his piano playing. Zixiang won prizes in the 13th Teresa Llacuna International Piano Competition and William Byrd Young Artist Competition, and has participated in many international competitions. He frequently shows up in music festivals in America, Europe and Asia, including Sewanee Music Festival, Perugia Music Festival, Aspen Music Festival, Philadelphia Young Pianists’ Academy, Shanghai International Piano Festival. As an enthusiastic pianist, Zixiang has a large repertoire ranging from Granados to Villa-Lobos and he keeps exploring unknown music by important composers. During 2015-2017, He has collaborated with New Juilliard Ensemble and American conductor Joel Sachs to perform works by contemporary composers. Now Zixiang is pursuing his DMA degree at University of Michigan. His primary teachers include Arthur Greene, Jerome Lowenthal and Yingdi Sun.
