First Round: Video Recording Audition Please submit the recording through our online application. The application deadline is December 1st, 2019.
Repertoire requirement Applicants should submit their video Recording Audition, with the duration of maximum 15 minuets free program and includes at least one concert etude from F. Chopin or F. Liszt.
An unedited recording of the applicant must be submitted as a YouTube video with the following consideration:
The audition should be recorded in one continuous unedited video. Do not include titles, fadeouts, or video transitions.
The recording must be of excellent technical quality and preferably recorded professionally.
The applicant’s face and hands must be visible throughout the recording, with no movement from the camera.
The recording must be made within 3 years of the submission of the application.
Second Round: 36 selected candidates perform live at the National Recital Hall Taipei
Repertoire requirement A program of choice but must include one etude chosen from the following composers: C. Debussy, I. Stravinsky, S. Rachmaninoff, A. Scriabin, S. Prokofiev, or B. Bartók. The length of the program must be between 25 minutes and 30 minutes.
Final Round: 4 selected finalists perform with National Symphony Orchestra at the National Concert Hall Taipei
Repertoire requirement One piano concerto. The contestant should choose one complete concerto from the list we provide.

*Repetitions of pieces are not allowed in any round of the competition (not even single movements). The First Round video submission is regarded as one round of the competition, and may not be repeated.
