Guidelines for "Amateur Piano Program" of the Festival
● Application Deadline: November 15, 2025 at 24:00 (Taiwan Local Time) ● Only for participants aged 35 and above, No more than 20 students will be accepted. ● Application Fee: US$ 150. ● Applicants will be prioritized based on registration order and whether a performance video is submitted, though submitting a video is optional. ● Application results will be announced no later than November 25, 2025. ● Practice rooms at the festival venue are limited, if the participants wish to practice on-site, an additional purchase is required.
As an "Amateur Piano Program" Participant: ● The participant will be notified by e-mail after successfully being chosen. After notification, the participant should complete the tuition fee transfer before December 1, 2025. ● Participants will receive 1 lesson from the International Faculty and 1 lesson from the Festival Faculty. Each lesson is 45 minutes. ●Each participant will receive one ticket to each of the following concerts: Alexander Kobrin Piano Recital (January 31), William Youn Piano Recital, and Hisako Kawamura Piano Recital. ● Tuition Fee of the program: US$ 450. ● If participants need the organizer to provide accommodations, the accommodation fee will be US$ 520 per person (from 30 Jan. (check-in) - 11 Feb. (Check out), 12 nights in total. Two Participants share a room.) for the entire duration of the festival. Participants whose age is under 14 years old must be accompanied by a parent in the residence hall for the festival's duration. The parent's accommodation fee is the same as above. ● Breakfast is not included in the accommodation. If needed, you may purchase it directly from the hotel reception. ● Participants requiring meals may place orders and make payments at the first-floor counter near the entrance. The ordering deadlines are 10:30 AM for lunch and 2:00 PM for dinner. Meals can be picked up at 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Meal ordering service will not be provided on the following time: -January 31 – Lunch (10:30 Opening Ceremony & Registration, Reception) and Dinner (19:30 Alexander Kobrin Piano Recital) -February 1 – Dinner (19:30 William Youn Piano Recital) -February 5–7 – Lunch and Dinner (Lectures, Promising star concert & competition, and Hisako Kawamura Piano Recital) -February 10 – Dinner (Closing Banquet) ● Parents are welcome to accompany their children and can attend their children's lessons. However, unless they register as full-time passive auditors, they will not be allowed to attend other festival events beyond their own children's activities. ● If the parents of the selected participants wish to attend all of the festival activities and obtain tickets to the Promising-Star concerts, they have to choose the option in the application form to become a full-time passive auditor for the reduced rate package of US $400. This only applies to the parents whose children are successfully selected as participants.
The accommodation for 2026 IMPF participants Center for Public and Business Administration Education, National Chengchi Univsersity, AKA Taipei Hotel No. 187, Jinhua St., Da’an Dist., Taipei City 106304 , Taiwan **Check-in date for boarding students is January 30, and check-out date is February 11. **Detailed information about masterclasses and concerts will be updated during the time. Payment instructions ●The application will be considered completed only after the bank transfer receipt of the application fee has been uploaded. (please refer to Bank Transfer Information) ● The application fee is one-time, and non-refundable. ● Applicants have to absorb any extra charges from the bank by themselves. ● If you want to cancel your hotel reservation or participation, please contact us at [email protected] before December 20, 2025. After the deadline, there will be no refunds.
