About International Maestro Piano Competition


The 2025 International Maestro Piano Festival & Competition (IMPF&C) is set to be an extraordinary event, bringing together gifted young pianists from around the world to Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. The competition will run from January 12-16, followed by the festival from January 17-26.

This year, we are excited to present the 2nd International Maestro Piano Competition (IMPC), featuring four rounds of intense selection. The competition begins with a preliminary video round, followed by three live rounds, including the final performance with the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra. Competitors who advance from the video preliminaries to the top 32 will receive free accommodation and flight reimbursement—$1,500 for flights from outside Asia and $750 for flights within Asia.

The competition will be broadcast live worldwide, providing a global stage for participants to gain recognition. Prizes include $10,000 for 1st place, $5,000 for 2nd, and $3,000 for 3rd, offering significant rewards for the top performers.
Following the competition, the 6th International Maestro Piano Festival (IMPF) provides a unique opportunity to engage with renowned educators and artists through masterclasses, lectures, and concerts. The festival also includes the Promising-Star competition, where the winner will perform a concerto with a professional orchestra at one of Taiwan’s most prestigious venues.

The Competition Venue

The Dadong Art Center, which opened in March 2012, is a premier cultural venue in Kaohsiung, featuring a versatile performing arts hall with approximately 880 seats. This prominent center serves as the home of the Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra and hosts performances with international stars. It also includes a visual exhibition hall and a distinctive art library.

Designed with natural elements in mind, the center seamlessly integrates semi-outdoor spaces with the surrounding ecosystem, creating a tranquil and innovative environment. As a key part of Kaohsiung’s cultural network—alongside the Weiwuying Arts and Cultural Center and the Kaohsiung City Cultural Center—the Dadong Art Center significantly contributes to the city's dynamic urban art scene.
